Josef Hoffmann Nesting Tables

  • An important Vienna Secession set of three nesting tables in ebonised beech wood designed by Josef Hoffmann and produced by J. & J. Kohn, c. 1904.

The design of these tables beautifully displays Hoffmann’s geometrically refined signature style, which was both elegant and perfectly unified.

Each rectangular top is raised on turn supports and joined by a horseshoe stretcher; the largest with two conjoined sphere handles.

Condition: There is some cracking to the surface lacquer on the second table and also to the corner edge of the largest tables stretcher. Neither of these points detract from the outstanding overall design and appearance.

    Dimensions: 63w x 45d x 75h cm
